Against the word cancer

It is difficult think about this word. You know exists but always see this outside your capsule, your world your family.

when it happens you do not know how to confront.

In 2007 in September my daughter was diagnosed by thyroids cancer. In that moment I went to several doctors to know that this sick was real. Thanks God thyroids cancer is one of the best cancer that you can have.

In the thyroids cancer there are four types of this cancer.

1.- Papillarty Thyroid cancer :arises as an irregular, solid or cystic mass that arises from otherwise normal thyroid tissue, and can go through the body but this is usually a late manifestation of the disease.

2.- Follicular cancer : grows slowly and is highly treatable, its spread by the blood stream more than through the lymph node system

3.- Medullary thyroid cancer :its begins in the C cell of the thyorid.

4.- Anaplastic thyroid cancer: its begin in the follicular cells of  the thyroid.

My daughter has the Follicular cancer, that means could be go through the blood. I was scared, then we beginning a race against the clock, go to the doctors and ask when could be the date of the surgery.

The diagnostic of the cancer was on September 5 and we got the surgery on September 13, that was so fast that was good. After the surgery the doctor said that remove everything and also a ganglion .

The next step was the radiation with iodine, she has to be alone in a room for three days

My daughter had a difficult time in order to come back  to her life because the thyroid works a lot for us, when we do not have we realize how important it is.

The thyroids regulate the temperature, cold, hot, also make you feel tired if you do not have it, the mood also is up and down.

The last week we realize an exam in order to know if we can find cancer cell is her body, that was an exam with iodine radioactive , thanks God it was good, the exam did not show any cell with cancer, but we need to repeat in two years, but for now we can breath and think that this word "cancer" it is not a good word.

I expect that in the future the medicine could find a cure for this sick that scare everyone.
